Surfing Sofas invites you to join him at Old Diorama Arts Centre, for the listening party of his new project, “Spectra of Displacement”, a spoken word album that explores some of the obvious and the overlooked aspects of homelessness.
This will be a hybrid event, so you have the options to attend in-person or online 🙂
Spectra of Displacement was first showcased in the Saatchi Gallery as part of the “Homelessness: Reframed” exhibition, which was created in collaboration between Homewards, Saatchi Gallery and Eleven Eleven Foundation.
However, on October 10th, 2024 (World Homeless Day) we will be showcasing the “DELUXE EDITION” of the album, whiich includes remixes and bonus tracks that have not been heard before!
What to expect:
– JaPes – will be performing some poems from his forthcoming project.
– David Tovey – will be giving us a talk and sharing some of his wisdom and reflections.
