The West London Perinatal Mental Health Service is delighted to be hosting a film screening and community engagement event around maternal mental health, in collaboration with the Hounslow Health Outreach Team.

The “Mother Tongue” film is the result of a collaboration between our service users and a professional filmmaker. In it, our service users speak powerfully in their first languages about their mental health journeys as new mothers. Through the film, we hope to raise awareness of the importance of supporting mothers’ mental health, and in particular to empower minority communities to reach out for help.
After the screening there will be stimulating panel conversation and a Q&A session open to the public, followed by light refreshments.
